Tofu Mushroom Steak Sandwich with Horseradish Aioli
Delicious vegan sandwich made with tofu and mushroom makes for the perfect lunch!

Cooking Directions
- Mix all the ingredients for tofu and marinate the tofu in the fridge for at least a hour.
- Meanwhile blend all the ingredients for the aioli, adjust the seasoning as needed. Set aside.
- Heat the grill pan and grill the tofu steaks for 4-5 minutes each side.
- Grill the bread. Grill the mushrooms for 2-3 minutes. Spread generous amounts of aioli on the toast then the greens, mushrooms, and tofu. Enjoy.

Ingredients
For the Tofu Steak:
- 1pkg. House Foods Tofu Extra Firm, drained, pressed and slice into ¼ inch thick long pieces
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. any BBQ steak spice rub or cayenne powder
- Vegetable broth, enough to coat the tofu
- 1 Tbsp. Liquid smoke
- 1 tsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce or liquid amino
For the sauce:
- 1 tsp. lemon juice or white vinegar
- 1 tsp. lemon juice or white vinegar
- 2-3 Tbsp. prepared plain horseradish
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Assemble the sandwich:
- 4 Ciabatta rolls
- 4-5 cremini mushrooms, sliced
- Handful of your favorite greens; spinach, kale, arugula, mixed greens
- Olive oil, for grilling
